Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This Policy describes how Wagent (“we”) collect, use, and disclose personal information when you use wagent.ca, app.wagent.ca, and related APIs. It is intended for visitors and customers in Canada and elsewhere.
2. What we collect
- Account data: email address, account membership, sign-in session identifiers.
- Waitlist: email you submit on the marketing form (stored in our control-plane database).
- Site content: files and media you create or upload for your sites, and chat messages with the site agent.
- Billing: subscription status and processor identifiers (card details are handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers).
- Technical data: IP address hints, user agent, and basic request logs for security and abuse prevention.
3. How we use information
- Provide, secure, and improve the Service (authentication, hosting, previews, agent tools).
- Respond to waitlist and contact-form submissions (including optional email notify to our team).
- Process payments and manage plans.
- Detect abuse, enforce rate limits, and protect accounts.
- Comply with law and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use waitlist emails for unrelated third-party marketing without a clear opt-in (placeholder — confirm marketing practices).
4. Service providers and transfers
We use infrastructure and processors such as Cloudflare (Workers, Pages, D1), email delivery (e.g. Resend), payment processing (Stripe), and model routing (e.g. OpenRouter). Some providers may process data outside Canada. Where required, we rely on contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the transfer. Placeholder: list sub-processors and retention periods when counsel finalizes this Policy.
5. Retention
We keep account and site data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, disputes, and legal obligations. Waitlist emails are retained until you ask us to remove them or we purge inactive lists. Chat and file content follow site lifecycle (including soft-archive).
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on your province or territory (and PIPEDA / applicable provincial laws), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold, subject to legal exceptions. Contact [email protected]. You may unsubscribe from non-essential emails using links we provide or by emailing us.
7. Security
We use industry-standard controls appropriate to a small SaaS (TLS, access controls, rate limits). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your province). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy by posting a revised version on this page. Material changes will be communicated when practical.
10. Contact / privacy officer (placeholder)
